Al-Isra University began receiving its students in five colleges with the beginning of the academic year 1991/1992, where it was licensed according to Higher Education Council Decision No. 357 in 1989, and since then the university has expanded its infrastructure to secure all the requirements of the educational process, and the expansion has accompanied the opening of new specializations so that it has become There are currently ten university colleges comprising twenty-eight undergraduate degree programs and eleven Master's degree programs.

 

Since its establishment, the university has endeavored to be an active partner in national efforts to improve the quality of university education and provide a university environment that enhances student freedom in learning, creativity, leadership, and excellence, and attracts qualified students from Jordan and Arab and foreign countries, and within this perspective it constantly seeks to achieve the basic tasks of the university, which It is represented by education, scientific research and social contribution. After the university is nearing completion of the third decade of its career, it finds itself facing a challenge to keep pace with the rapid developments taking place in the world, where competition has become high, which requires us all in the institution to work on improving our performance so that the university is able to supply the job market with qualified and qualified graduates. Here, it is necessary to spread the culture of quality to be a reference for our daily work in all fields, which enhances our endeavor to develop the educational process to reach high-quality and efficient outputs.

 

In order to enhance the creative capabilities of students, all academic and administrative personnel should set an example in continuing research, launching creative initiatives and contributing to community service, and I promise to do my best to work towards achieving all our goals.

 

 

The President of the University

Prof. Ahmad Nusseirat Al-Isra University was established by the decision of the Jordanian Higher Education Council No. (257) dated (21/8/1989), and it is one of the first private universities established in Jordan. The university is located on Queen Alia International Airport, twenty-five kilometers away from the city of Amman. The university seeks, since its inception, to be an active partner in the national efforts to improve the quality of education and provide a university environment, committed to providing the best means of freedom and creativity and graduate qualified cadres able to face the challenges of life to take their role in serving the local and Arab community, and for this purpose carefully selected a variety of specializations For bachelor’s and master’s degrees.

 

The university received the first cohort of its students at the beginning of the academic year 1991/92 after obtaining a license from the Higher Education Council. The university obtained, during its career, the general accreditation since its foundation in (1991), with a capacity of (1320) male and female students, and its current absorptive capacity reached (7000) male and female students. In its teaching, the university adopts the credit hour system and studies in it on a full-time basis in the undergraduate and master's programs. In the academic year 1994/1995, the university graduated the first batch of its students. The university administration does not hesitate to continue developing the university in line with the requirements of the increasing educational process, as well as developing extracurricular activities facilities to maintain its competitive edge.

 

The university is keen to secure all facilities and equipment necessary to achieve standards and develop institutional performance, and with regard to the current infrastructure, the university provides public facilities that include presidential buildings, colleges, laboratories, engineering workshops, terraces for conferences, seminars, celebrations, conferences, meetings, lectures, workshops, and a mosque that serves Students, university staff, and people from the surrounding areas, in addition to a chapel in each college, one of the university buildings, facilities for sports, cultural and social activities, an art studio, gyms, squash, bowling, and soccer fields, in excess of 80,000 square meters, including offices, suitable teaching rooms, training laboratories, in addition to terraces and green spaces In addition to the stadiums, the university will proceed with developing its facilities to meet the requirements of the university's plans and provide a university environment according to the highest specifications. The university is built on a 300-donum area of ​​land (300,000 square meters).
